Sometimes an album doesn’t need to be groundbreaking or forward thinking for it to be awesome. This album proves this point. This is a purely throwback, old school death metal album. Nothing more, nothing less. But it is performed in such a perfect manner that I have found myself revisiting it over and over this past year. The guitar riffs are just so crunchy that I want to wrap them around me like a warm blanket. Plus, you’ve got the English inflected death growl of Bolt Thrower’s Karl Willetts leading the charge. Just a great embrace of everything great about death metal
